A unique species of strawberry (Fragaria moschata) Musk strawberries are a delicious and fragrant rare treat. Native to Europe where they are known by the French name hautbois strawberry, they have long been treasured for their unique aroma and powerful flavor that has been described as a mix of strawberry, raspberry and pineapple all in one! This is a berry you certainly won’t find at the grocery store so grow your own underneath your fruit trees or in a pot! Most fruits ripen in June though you will occasionally receive a second crop in the fall.
