Spring 2017 Shipping News

Shipping is now open to all regions. We are running about 2-3 weeks behind as of June 1st due to the large volume of orders. So please expect shipping information 2-3 weeks after your order is placed. If you require urgent delivery, please send us an email at info@onegreenworld.com and we will do our best to accommodate. Bare root tree sales will end July 1st.

In Store Pick-Ups are available for pickup 7 days a week 10am-5pm at our retail location at 6469 SE 134th Ave, Portland, OR 97236. For larger orders if you call or email we can have your order prepared and ready for you.

Summer Shipping

We are excited to continue shipping all varieties of plants sold in pots through the summer via 3 day priority shipment. Orders may be delayed if extreme temperatures are present in your area. Summer shipping starts July 1st.

General Shipping Information

*Shipping rates are calculated in the shopping cart at checkout. Before you confirm the purchase you will see the shipping total and grand total in the cart. Please proceed to the last step of the checkout process to see the shipping rate calculation based on your location.

We care about your plants and want them to arrive in optimal conditions. These are living products that need to be handled and shipped properly so we take extra care to make sure they arrive healthy and ready to produce for you.

We ship most of our bare root trees in a 8x8x40 in box that can hold 4 trees. The cost for shipping is approximately $10 for west coast and up to $25 or more for mid west & east coast areas. We also ship

Our 1 gallon pots can be shipped in 2, 4, and 6 plants per box and the cost is $10- $25 per box depending on your location from Portland Oregon.

Shipping occurs every week, Monday through Friday. Our goal is to ship your order within 1-2 weeks during the busy seasons of Feb-April and Sept-Oct.  Tracking numbers are sent via email. Please be sure to include your email when you place an order. You may specify the approximate date you would like to receive your plants. While we cannot guarantee the exact date of delivery, we will do our best to get your order to you on the date desired. If you do not specify a date, we will ship your plants to arrive at the best planting time for your area. 
Depending on the time of year some varieties of plants can only be pre-ordered for fall and/or spring shipping. Air shipments are usually by US Postal Service Priority Mail, 2-3 day delivery. Ground shipments are by UPS Ground.

Getting your plants to you in prime condition is very important to us. We store our bare-root plants under refrigeration so, regardless of where you live, you will receive them in optimum condition, dormant and ready to grow.

SHIPPING SCHEDULE & CHARGES

SPRING SHIPPING

Spring 2017 shipping will begin the week of February 20th and continue through the week of June 21st. Please see the schedule below to determine when you will receive your plants.

West of the Cascade Mountains (Western Oregon, Washington, California and Hawaii*) – February 20th through the week of June 21st, weather permitting.

East of the Cascade Mountains – March 30th through the week of June 21st, weather permitting.

Alaska* – April 16th through the week of June 21st, weather permitting.

* Alaska and Hawaii – Because of long transit times by ground or sea, express shipping by USPS Priority Mail is the only method available for shipment to these states.

SUMMER SHIPPING

June 21st – October, weather permitting many of our varieties of potted plants are available. Shipping during the summer months can be tricky due to the potential of extreme heat. We have to use USPS 3-day delivery of Priority mail for all orders east of the Rocky Mountains. Orders shipping to Oregon and Western Washington can choose Ground. We recommend Air shipments for orders to southern CA during the summer.

FALL SHIPPING

October 15th – December 2nd, weather permitting. All of our potted plants plus many bare-root fruit trees can be shipped by economical ground transport. Take advantage of the mild fall weather to receive your plants and get them in the ground!

NOTE Fall shipping to USDA Zone 6 and below: Please be aware that plants shipped in the fall to these colder regions may not be hardened off sufficiently to survive winter temperatures.  We strongly recommend spring shipping to these areas, as we cannot guarantee survival over the winter.

Ground Shipping Charges

UPS Ground Shipping is the most economical means to ship plants outside of the Northwest and California. However, it is not available year round because of hot and cold weather. Average Bare root box 8x8x40 can hold 4 trees and ship for an average of $25

Air/Express Shipping – USPS Priority Mail and UPS 3 Day Select

Available to all regions during fall and spring shipping seasons, weather permitting. Required for all summer orders East of the Rockies.  Required for orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii.

Minimum cost $25.

We realize that this is an expensive way to ship. For some locations and times of year, it is simply the only way to get you your plants in good condition. We trust you will be pleased with the fresh and healthy condition of your plants on arrival.

LOCAL PICK UP

You can always select local pick up as your shipping option and pick up your plants at the Nursery for free.

We will be in Eugene at Bring Recycling on Saturday March 4th between 10-4 to deliver orders to local customers in the Willamette Valley for a small fee of $5-$10 depending on the size of your order.

PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ORDER?

Plants become the property of the customer upon delivery to the shipping company. Please notify us immediately after receipt if there are indications of damage.  We will file claims with the shipping company for loss or damage.

Please check your order as soon as you receive it and make sure all items are included and accounted for. In the unlikely event that your order is damaged or items are incorrect or missing, we want to help make it right for you. Please contact us as soon as possible by phone at 1-877-353-4028
We will automatically deny any claims for damage shipments after 10 days of receipt
