SHIPPING SCHEDULE

FALL SHIPPING SCHEDULE

We begin shipping bare-root trees in mid-late October.

East of the Rocky Mountains – We prioritize shipments to this region before the end of October to allow bare roots sufficient time to harden off.

West of the Rocky Mountains (Western Oregon, Washington, California and Hawaii*) – Take advantage of the mild Fall weather and extended planting season to receive your plants and get them in the ground!

All other orders will be shipped out in the order they are received.

*NOTE Fall shipping to USDA Zone 6 and below: Please be aware that plants shipped in the Fall to these colder regions may not be hardened off sufficiently to survive Winter temperatures.  We strongly recommend spring shipping to these areas, as they are not covered by our guarantee.

 

WINTER SHIPPING SCHEDULE

We continue to ship Fall orders each Monday throughout the Winter.  The plants must be hardy enough to survive transit from Portland, OR to your region. We may contact you if followup is required.

We no longer ship Citrus plants as it is too cold.

PLEASE NOTE: If an order contains both Fall and Spring plants, we may need to charge an additional shipping fee to separate orders.

 

SPRING SHIPPING SCHEDULE

We begin shipping Spring pre-orders on February 1st.

We prioritize shipments to the warmer, southern regions first, and work our way north with the warming temperatures.

Requested ship dates will be honored to the best of our ability. 

 

SUMMER SHIPPING SCHEDULE

We ship all Midwest, East Coast and Southern orders via UPS 3-Day to avoid heat stress to the plants during transit.

We ship local orders Monday – Friday. All other orders will be shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays to eliminate packages being delayed in transit over the weekend.

Severe hot weather may cause a delay in shipping

Pacific Northwest, Northern California, Alaska, and Hawaii – Most orders are handled via USPS Priority mailing unless otherwise specified.

Otherwise orders are handled via UPS Ground.  *If USPS is required, please specify in the special order notes during checkout.

 

General Shipping Information

Shipping rates are calculated in the shopping cart at checkout.  Please proceed to the last step of the checkout process to see the shipping rate calculation based on your location.  Select ‘Country’ and ‘State’ in order to get an exact estimate. Before you confirm the purchase you will see the shipping total and grand total in the cart.

Getting your plants to you in prime condition is very important to us. We store our bare-root plants under refrigeration and have innovated a system that ensures plant health for up to 12 days wrapped up inside the box! So regardless of where you live, you will receive them in optimum condition, dormant and ready to grow.

Bare root trees:  Pruned to fit in a 8x8x40 inch box that can hold approximately 4 trees.

1 gallon pots: Can be shipped in 2, 4, or 6 plants per box depending on box size.

Each order is unique and shipping estimates are based on the number of plants, sizes of plants, type of address,  and other variables. Extra large plants, bags of fertilizers, or pounds of seeds may incur additional shipping fees. If this happens we will contact you by phone or email to take additional payment before shipping.

Once your package has shipped, the tracking number is sent via email by the automated system. Please be sure to include your email when you place an order to receive the tracking info.

SCHEDULED SHIPPING

You may specify the approximate date you would like to receive your plants by contacting us if you have limiting circumstances and can only receive your plants at a certain time. Otherwise, we ask for patience as we will ship your plants to arrive at the best planting time for your area.  While we cannot guarantee the exact date of delivery, we will do our best to get your order to you by the date desired.

GROUND SHIPPING

UPS Ground Shipping is the most economical means to ship plants outside of the Northwest and California. It is not available year round because of hot and cold weather extremes. There is a flat rate of $25 to cover the cost of the first box, and then the cost goes up incrementally for additional weight.  Ground shipping takes up to 5 business days and plants will sometimes be held over the weekend.  However, we use special methods to insure that the plants can survive their length of time in the box and will arrive in good condition!

EXPRESS SHIPPING

Available to all regions during fall and spring shipping seasons, weather permitting. Recommended for all summer orders East of the Rockies, Alaska and Hawaii.

We realize that this is an expensive way to ship. For some locations and times of year, it is simply the best way to get you your plants in good condition. We trust you will be pleased with the fresh and healthy condition of your plants on arrival if you are concerned about the transit times affecting your plants.

FREIGHT SHIPPING

We use local and national freight companies to deliver large orders. Please call for quotes.

LOCAL PICK UP & DELIVERY

Local Pick Up orders will be ready by March 1, 2018. Call ahead to schedule a pick up time during our winter hours.  We are available by appointment only Monday – Thursday 10am to 4pm until March 19 when we resume our normal retail hours.  We are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for drop in.

Orders can be delivered for $60 up to 25 miles. Ask about long distance delivery to OR, CA, WA & ID

PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ORDER?

Plants become the property of the customer upon delivery to the shipping company. Please notify us immediately after receipt if your plants are damaged in transit.  Send photos to info@onegreenworld.com and we will file claims with the shipping company for loss or damage. We can replace damaged plants if they are available.

Check your order as soon as you receive it and make sure all items are included and accounted for. In the event that your order items are incorrect or missing, we want to help make it right for you. Please contact us as soon as possible by phone at 1-877-353-4028

We will deny claims for damaged shipments after 10 days of receipt.

    Thank you for posting this update! I had wondered, but I figured you guys were probably swamped : ) A good problem to have, all in all. I am really looking forward to seeing our new lingonberries and persimmons! Your plants are always top notch. I really want to try flying dragon citrus tree with the shipping coupon code you have here, but I feel a little guilty burying you further in orders haha.
