Marina Madrone

Marina Madrone

The Marina Madrone is one of our favorite Arbutus cultivars! Though the exact lineage of the Marina variety is unknown it is thought to be a cross between Arbutus unedo and Arbutus canariensis. Marina looks very similar to our native Pacific Madrone (Arbutus menziesii) but does much better in cultivated landscapes than the native madrone. Marina is very drought tolerant once established and makes an excellent street tree or landscape focal point.
