Hybrid Cider Gum Eucalyptus Tree
A very unique bunch of hybrid eucalyptus from a seed batch we received from the great plantsman Ian Barclay of Desert Northwest Nursery in Sequim, WA. These seedlings are hybrids of the ever popular Cider Gum (Eucalyptus gunnii) and the rather obscure, but very beautiful, Eucalyptus mannifera ssp. praecox. We expect reliable hardiness on these given the northern seed collection. Trees will have a varied mix of traits, as we are already seeing in their juvenile form in the nursery. Foliage will vary from light blue to blue-green to green with red highlights and the overall form on each tree will be unique. Give them a try! And send us pictures in 5 years when they mature.
