This cultivar has perfect balance of tannin and acidity and certainly makes a delicious cider by itself or blended with other varieties. Story also has it that the name Huffcap was named after an ale strong enough to lift one cap.

Site and Soil:Â European Pears like full to 1/2 day sun and well-drained soil.
