Heliohebe hulkeana
A curious little Hebe relative that we picked up from a New Zealand seed supplier years back out of curiosity and to our surprise it has been a very tough, cold hardy and easy to grow plant. Heliohebe has the look of a more tender hebe with its big succulent leaves, but multiple specimens sailed through the storm-that-shall-not-be-named of January 2024 without so much as a burnt tip. We grow it in a well watered border in full sun and it appears to be quite happy there.
