Taree Pink Bottlebrush
A fantastic and larger growing bottlebrush, at least for our climate! Taree Pink grows to a whopping 6-9′ if a string of mild winters has been good to us. In particularly cold years they can get burned back a little bit but will always come back from the roots even if we have a particularly nasty winter. The flowers on this one are extraordinary! Bright pink and on seemingly every branch.
Latin Name: Callistemon citrinus
Site and Soil: Half-day to full-day sun, and well-drained soil. Quite drought resistant once established.
Hardiness: Hardy to about 15° F, but will resprout from the roots
Size at Maturity: 6-9′ tall & 4-6′ wide
Bloom Time: Late Spring
USDA Zone: 8b-10
