Spine Tingler Epimedium
A somewhat recent introduction to the Epimedium world, Spine Tingler is one of our favorite epimediums for its beautiful large glossy green leaves and ability to withstand dry shade conditions under conifers and other tricky places. Gorgeous light yellow fairy wing flowers emerge in spring along with beautiful chocolate colored new growth.
A go-to genus for dry shade, epimediums are wonderful little plants in the barberry family that thrive where many other plants fail. In constrast to their tough evergreen leaves, they produce the most whimsical little fairy wing flowers in spring and the new growth ranges from deep maroon to chocolate colored.
