Skylark Dwarf Olive Tree
For those of you who want an olive tree but don’t have the room or want to keep your olive tree in its pot its whole life the Skylark Dwarf Olive Tree is a great selection. It tops out at about 6-8 feet and produces few fruits so its mainly grown for its ornamental qualities. Leaves are smaller and narrower than a typical olive and have a beautiful silver sheen to them!
Latin Name: Olea europaea
Site and Soil: Olives like a warm, protected location with 1/2 day to full sun and well drained soil.
Pollination Requirements: We recommend planting Skylark with another variety like Frantoio. But due to its distorted anthers its unlikely that Skylark will ever produce too much fruit.
Hardiness: Skylark should be hardy to at least 10F.
