Persian Green Plum is a very popular plum in the Middle East and one that we’ve had many requests for, so we’re happy to finally be growing it! Persian Green Plums are native to the mountains of Iran and typically picked when small, green and crunchy and seasoned with salt to bring out their unique flavor or cooked into many different dishes.

Latin Name: Prunus sp.
Site and Soil: Plums like 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained soil.
Rootstock Description: Myro 29C.
Pollination Requirements: Self-fertile.
Hardiness: Hardy to minus 10° F.
Bearing Age: 2-3 years after planting.
Size at Maturity: 15-20 ft. or less with pruning.
Taste: Tart

Pests & Diseases: Our plums are not bothered by pests. Bacterial Canker can occasionally damage trunks or branches. Symptoms of this disease are exudations of amber-colored sap.
