Minaj Smyriou Black Currant


The Minaj Smyriou Black Currant is a very cold hardy, productive, early season, mildew and white pine blister rust resistant cultivar.  It grows quickly to 5′ tall and produces bountiful clusters of large black currants.  The Minaj Smeriov is excellent dried or for cooking.

A more mildly flavored black currant with delicate skin, Minaj Smyriou Black Currant (Minaj Smeriou) is a newer Bulgarian variety resistant to white pine blister rust. Among the first of the black currants to Ripen. Heavy pruning is necessary for this vigorous grower!
