Phoenix™ Asian Persimmon

(Do Geun Jo Sang cv.) An outstanding Korean selection, Phoenix™ is prized for it heavy crops of large, sweet and flavorful, bright orange fruit. Phoenix™ is very early ripening and features attractive, orange-red, fall foliage. The fruit is ready to eat when soft and tender.

Hardy to 0º F., Asian Persimmons are easy to grow in the Northwest and other regions of the U.S. with mild winters. Naturally compact trees  Persimmons rarely exceed 12ft. in height.

Asian Persimmon is not bothered by pests or disease so you don’t need to worry about spraying this tree. They like half day to full sun and well-drained soil. Our varieties are self-fertile and hardy to USDA Zone 7. They begin bearing 2-3 years after planting and the fruit ripens in October.
