A favorite native huckleberry species for summertime snacking. Oval Leaf huckleberry is an early ripening huckleberry that produces tons of tasty fruits beloved by wildlife as well as humans. Plant in a well draining soil rich in organic matter and give it at least some protection from afternoon sun if growing inland or in the warmer valleys.
