Belaruskaja Black Currant
Belaruskaja Black Currant is a recently developed variety fairly similar to Blackdown in flavor and sweetness but Belaruskaja is resistant to white pine blister rust. This lesser known selection is excellent for fresh eating as well as preserves.

Pests & Diseases: Currants are not bothered by significant pest or disease problems in our region. White Pine Blister Rust can be a problem for Black Currants in certain eastern and Midwestern states. Check with your extension service for details.
