Feverfew
Feverfew is a very useful and easy to grow medicinal herb that has been shown to be effective at preventing migraines and headaches and has traditional uses of helping lower fevers, hence the name. Regardless of its medicinal uses it also produces tons of cheerful little aster flowers in late spring into summer and are beloved by pollinators.
Latin Name: Tanacetum parthenium
Site and Soil: Full to part sun and well-drained soil.
Hardiness: Hardy to -20° F.
Size at Maturity: 2-4′ in height by 2-3′ feet wide.
Bloom Time: late spring – early summer
Pests & Diseases: No pests or diseases that we’ve seen on our plants here in Portland.
