Snowy River Wattle Acacia
One of the more relatively cold hardy acacias, the Snowy River Wattle is native to New South Wales and is a popular species in cultivation for its ease of growing, abundant yellow blooms and finely textured foliage. Like many acacias it begins life with finer foliage before transitioning to flattened phyllodes that are a nice blue green color. Another great feature of this acacia is that it only gets 10-15 feet in height. Like any acacia in colder climates it should be sited in a protected area with protection from subfreezing winds. Grows very quickly when young.
