Phoenecia Pomegranate
Phoenecia produces medium to large sized pomegranates that have an excellent sweet flavor. Produces best in climates with dry climates so better suited to the West. We’re still trialing this one so are unsure of how well it will ripen in a shorter season climate.

Site and Soil: Likes full to 1/2 day sun and well-drained soil.
Pollination Requirements: Self-fertile.
Hardiness: Hardy to at least 5º F.
Bearing Age: 1-2 years after planting
Size at Maturity: Can reach up 10-12 ft. in height.
Taste: Sweet-tart, soft seeded
Fruit Skin: Bright red
Fruit Flesh: Light red
Bloom Time: June-July
Ripening Time: October?
Yield: 20+ lbs.
Pests & Diseases: Pomegranates are not generally bothered by pests or diseases in our climate.
