Mini Blues Blueberry

Celebrated for its huge yields of delectable fruits as well as its excellent flavor and vigorous growth, this new blueberry will leave you speechless! Mini Blues Blueberry produces prolific crops of fresh, tasty berries bursting with flavor. The berries are small, firm, and vibrant in color, making them just as appealing to view on the bush as they are to eat. The foliage is smooth, dense and mildly twiggy. Due to the size of the fruit this shrub is an excellent choice for machine harvesting. Small berry, huge flavor!

Latin Name: Vaccinium corymbosum
Site and Soil: Blueberries like 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained, acidic soil.
Pollination Requirements: Partially self-fertile. Plant two varieties for greater fruit production.
Hardiness: Hardy to minus 30° F. Has survived winters in Michigan with minimal injury.
Bearing Age: 1-2 years after planting
Size at Maturity: 5-6 ft. in height by 4 ft wide. Upright and robust.

Care: Blueberries prefer acidic soil (pH 4.5-5.5). Fertilize in early spring with a granular or liquid acid fertilizer. In late winter prune out any dead branches. After harvest, prune non fruit-bearing branches, leaving new branches to fruit the following season.
Pests & Diseases: Blueberries are not bothered by significant pest or disease problems. Scare birds away with Mylar Flash Tape or deter them by covering your plants with netting.
