Heart’s Desire Ceanothus
The lowest growing groundcover Ceanothus that we grow, Heart’s Desire creeps along the ground growing only a few inches to a foot high but creating a large mat 3-5 wide of nice evergreen foliage. Flowers are a pleasing light purple blue, though this clone is not as floriferous as most others. Best in a coastal climate with no extra summer water, though it’s performed fine for us here in Portland, even when the heat dome was over us in June ’21.
