Variegated Comfrey Axminster Gold

Axminster Gold Variegated Comfrey presents itself with a fountain of large, fuzzy leaves that are the foundation for tall green stalks clustered with pale-lavender flowers, which are adored by bees all spring and summer long.

Variegated Comfrey Axminster Gold

Axminster Gold Variegated Comfrey has all the same medicinal benefits and soil building qualities of the more common Bocking 14 Russian Comfrey in a beautifully variegated form. Variegated Comfrey looks similar to a large fuzzy hosta and have beautiful blueish pink flowers that are a favorite of the bees. Being a sterile hybrid it will not spread by seed but can spread if its root system is disturbed. Prefers part shade or dappled sunlight but can tolerate full sun.
