Turmeric Plant

Turmeric Plant

Grow your own curry! Turmeric might be the most valuable plant you could plant in your garden, and a beautiful one too. Often grown in the sub-tropics, it is also quite easy to grow in a pot in your home garden! The part of the plant we eat is actually the rhizome that acts as a storage house for the plant and houses many valuable vitamins and nutrients. There’s nothing quite like tasting your own fresh home grown turmeric and a single plant will give you an ample supply of rhizomes to eat and replant.
