Texas Live Oak Tree
A common live oak of Texas and parts of Arizona, the Texas Live Oak will often grow as a dense shrub for years before sending up a shoot that becomes a tree. Can eventually reach heights of 20-40 feet tall with large spreading branches. Leaves are semi-evergreen, holding through most of the winter but sometimes dropping in cold and windy weather but putting out a new set in the spring.
