Taiwanese Schefflera
Another hardy Schefflera species that is plenty hardy for us here in USDA zone 8. Beautiful, evergreen shrub to small tree that adds a lush tropical look to the garden. Flowers in fall and does best with a bit of shade from the afternoon sun and fairly regular summer water.
Latin Name: Schefflera taiwaniana
Site and Soil: A variety of soils, so long as they’re well draining in full to part shade
Hardiness: Hardy to about 5ºF.
Leaf Color: New growth emerges bright silver to gold
Leaf Size: Up to 2′ long or more
Size at Maturity: 6-15 ft. in height by 6′ wide
Bloom Time: Late October-December
