Santa Cruz Cypress
A rare and threatened cypress native to the Santa Cruz Mountains that we collected with our favorite new Santa Cruz local, Storm John Beno. Santa Cruz Cypress grows to be 30-70 feet tall at maturity and can live for over a hundred years. A very beautiful evergreen tree that should be hardy to at least zone 8.
Latin Name: Cupressus abramsiana
Site and Soil: 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained soil.
Pollination Requirements: Self-fertile
Hardiness: Hardy to around 10º F.
Size at Maturity: 30-80 ft.
