Rosemary Clarke Japanese Flowering Plum
Likely the earliest of any Flowering Plum, Rosemary Clarke Japanese Flowering Plum often produces double flowers that are pure white and cover the entire tree in early February. Nothing lifts the late winter blues like a profusion of cinnamon scented snow white ume flowers. The ume plums that follow the gorgeous shower of flowers are quite large and excellent for making ume wine or pickled ume plums.
Japanese Flowering Plums, Flowering Apricots and Ume Plums are all different names for the same species, Prunus mume.
