PollyO Hazelnut Tree
Another great Eastern Filbert Blight-resistant introduction from Oregon State University, PollyO was bred for the blanched kernel market and is the preferred variety for the chocolate industry. The flavor and aromas on PollyO are exceptional making it a highly sought after variety. PollyO will cross pollinate with Wepster and McDonald, and likely many other varieties of Hazelnut so long as the bloom time overlaps. Named for Polly Owen, who had a long career in the Oregon Hazelnut industry.

Site and Soil: Filberts like 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained soil.
