Persian Green Plums are native to the mountains of Iran and typically picked when small, green and crunchy and seasoned with salt to bring out their unique flavor or cooked into many different dishes.

Latin Name: Prunus sp.
Site and Soil: Plums like 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained soil.
Rootstock Description: A semi-dwarf rootstock for Plums and other stone fruits, Myro 29C produces trees 10′-15′ in height or less with pruning.
Pollination Requirements: Self-fertile.
Hardiness: Hardy to minus 30° F.
Bearing Age: 2-3 years after planting
Size at Maturity: 10-15 ft. in height.

Pests & Diseases: Our plums are not bothered by pests. Bacterial Canker can occasionally damage trunks or branches. Symptoms of this disease are exudations of amber-colored sap. Spraying lime-sulfur or copper in the fall and early spring can help control Bacterial Canker.
