Kakapo Pineapple Guava
Kakapo pineapple guava produces small to medium sized fruits with a strong sweet flavor and juicy flesh. These plants grow in a naturally more open form than many other clones and also don’t grow quite as tall, making it ideal for smaller gardens. Fruits ripen mid season, usually mid to late October here.
Feijoa (Pineapple Guava) is native to Brazil, but most of the breeding work with this unique fruit has been done in New Zealand. Development of Feijoa in New Zealand has been underway for many years and variety improvements have been remarkable.
