Flavor Queen Pluot
The matriarch of flavor! Flavor Queen Pluot produces greenish-yellow skinned fruits with an amber flesh that have a sugary sweet candy-like sweetness to them. Fruits ripen in late July.

Site and Soil: 1/2 day to full sun and well-drained soil.
Rootstock Description: A semi-dwarf rootstock for Plums and other stone fruits, Citation produces trees 12′-18′ in height or less.
Pollination Requirements: Another Japanese plum or interspecific hybrid that contains Japanese plum is necessary for pollination. Pollinated by Dapple Dandy Pluot® or Flavor Supreme Pluot®.

Pests & Diseases: Our pluots are not bothered by pests aside from the occasional aphids. Bacterial Canker can occasionally damage trunks or branches. Symptoms of this disease are exudations of amber-colored sap. Spraying lime-sulfur or copper in the fall and early spring can help control Bacterial Canker. Brown rot can effect fruits in particularly wet springs or areas with poor air flow.
