A prized olive oil variety, Bouteillan Olive Tree is a cold hardy French variety that is used exclusively for oil production in southern France. Fully self-fertile, very cold hardy and ripens mid season. When fully ripe, the fruit becomes  burgundy in color. Depending on the region, this cultivar is picked from the end of September until New Year. This olive is clingstone. This tree exhibits a moderate growth rate, generally achieving 12 to 24 inches per year under optimal conditions.
