Bountiful Olive Tree ™
A new and promising variety from the Nikita Botanic Garden, Bountiful Olive Tree ™ has proven itself very cold hardy in our region. It is prized for its bountiful crops of flavorful, early ripening fruit that can be brined or pressed into an aromatic oil.
Latin Name: Olea europaea
Site and Soil: Olives like a warm, protected location with 1/2 day to full sun and well drained soil.
Rootstock Description: Bountiful Olive Tree ™ is grown on it’s on roots.
Pollination Requirements: We recommend planting Bountiful™ with another variety as we are not sure about its pollination requirements. Olives are wind pollinated and should be planted no more than 20 ft. apart. You can assist pollination by moving pollen from flower to flower with a small brush.
Hardiness: Bountiful™ should be hardy to 10 F. or below.
