SHIPPING SCHEDULE

FALL SHIPPING SCHEDULE

We begin shipping bare-root trees in late fall (weather dependent) once the trees go dormant.

We prioritize shipments to the northern regions first and work our way south with the cooling temperatures.

West of the Rocky Mountains (Western Oregon, Washington, California and Hawaii) – Take advantage of the mild fall weather and plant all season long!

PLEASE NOTE: Fall shipping to USDA Zone 6 and below are not covered by our guarantee. Please be aware that plants shipped in the fall to these colder regions may not be hardened off sufficiently to survive Winter temperatures.  We strongly recommend spring shipping to these areas.

WINTER SHIPPING SCHEDULE

We continue to ship orders to mild regions throughout the Winter.  The plants must be hardy enough to survive transit from Portland, OR to your region. We may contact you if follow-up is required.

It is not safe to ship citrus and other tender plants via ground shipment during the winter due to cold weather. For non-local areas, please place your order for spring shipment or upgrade to Air Shipping at checkout.

PLEASE NOTE: Winter shipping to USDA Zone 6 and below are not covered by our guarantee. Please be aware that plants shipped in the winter to these colder regions may not be hardened off sufficiently to survive Winter temperatures.  We strongly recommend spring shipping to these areas. If an order contains plants from both fall/winter and spring shipping seasons, we may need to charge an additional shipping fee to separate orders.

SPRING SHIPPING SCHEDULE

We begin shipping WINTER/SPRING orders to designated regions starting in December/January once the inventory is on site.

We prioritize shipments to western and southern regions first and work our way north with the warming temperatures.

Due to high volume of orders and weather delays, orders may take multiple weeks to ship out. Shipping updates will be listed on the website throughout the season.

Below is an approximate time frame that we begin shipping to each region. Please note that these are estimates and shipments will vary due to weather, inventory availability, and high order volume.

For non-local areas, please select Air Shipping at checkout to have your order sent ASAP. Otherwise, orders containing tender plants will ship later in spring once weather permits.

SUMMER SHIPPING SCHEDULE

Most orders to regions will be shipped FedEx and UPS Ground. During periods of severe weather, orders will be shipped via Air to avoid heat stress to the plants during transit. This option will be listed at checkout once the temperatures are no longer safe for Ground Shipping.

Orders to HI and AK are shipped via USPS Priority.

Orders will be sent on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday each week to avoid being delayed in transit over the weekend.

Severe hot weather may cause delays in shipping.

General Shipping Information

Shipping rates are calculated in the shopping cart at checkout.  Please proceed to the last step of the checkout process to see the shipping rate calculation based on your location.  Enter the shipping address in order to get an exact price. Before you confirm the purchase, you will see the shipping total and grand total in the cart.

Getting your plants to you in prime condition is very important to us. We store our bare-root plants under refrigeration and have an innovative system that ensures plant health for up to 12 days packaged inside the box! Regardless of where you live, you will receive them in optimum condition, dormant and ready to grow.

Each order is unique and shipping estimates are based on the number of plants, sizes of plants, type of address, and other variables. Extra-large plants, bags of fertilizers, or pounds of seeds may incur additional shipping fees. If this happens, we will contact you by phone or email to take additional payment before shipping.

We can cancel orders up until the point that they have been shipped. If your order has already been packaged for shipment, we will retain a $20 unboxing and restocking fee. Once your order has shipped, we cannot cancel the order. The recipient will need to return the plants back to us in healthy condition in order to initiate a refund, in which case they will be responsible for the shipping costs.

Once your package has shipped, the tracking number is sent via email from our automated system. Please be sure to include your email when you place an order to receive the tracking information.

Please note: The shipping method selected at checkout does not include the processing time as this varies throughout the year. Please contact us to request a preferred shipment date.

SCHEDULED SHIPPING

You may specify the approximate date you would like to receive your plants by contacting us if you have limiting circumstances and can only receive your plants at a certain time. Otherwise, we ask for patience as we will ship your plants to arrive at the best planting time for your area.  While we cannot guarantee the exact date of delivery, we will do our best to get your order to you by the date desired.

GROUND SHIPPING

Ground Shipping is the most economical means to ship plants outside of the Northwest and California. It is not available year-round because of hot and cold weather extremes. There is a base rate of $25 to cover the cost of the first box, and then the cost goes up incrementally for additional weight.  Ground shipping takes 5 business days in transit once sent out and plants will sometimes be held over the weekend.  However, we use special methods to ensure that the plants can survive their length of time in the box and will arrive in good condition!

EXPRESS SHIPPING

Shipping method for all summer orders East of the Rockies.

We realize that this is an expensive way to ship, however for some locations and times of year, it is simply the best way to get you your plants in good condition. We trust you will be pleased with the fresh and healthy condition of your plants on arrival if you are concerned about the transit times affecting your plants.

FREIGHT SHIPPING

We use local and national freight companies to deliver large orders. Please contact us for a quote.

LOCAL PICK UP & DELIVERY

Orders will be ready for pick up at our Portland location immediately after purchase, during regular business hours, with the exception of Spring pre-order inventory. These plants are typically on site and available for pickup in mid-late January.

Delivery options do vary depending on location.  Please call us at 1-877-353-4028 for a delivery quote.

PROBLEMS WITH YOUR ORDER?

Plants become the property of the customer upon delivery. Please check your order as soon as you receive it to make sure all items are included and accounted for. Notify us immediately if the plants experienced damaged in transit. Send photos to info@onegreenworld.com within 10 days and we will follow up accordingly. Replacements can be sent for damaged plants if they are available, otherwise store credit will be issued for the price of the plant.

In the event that your items are incorrect, missing, or damaged, please contact us within 10 days of receipt by phone at 1-877-353-4028 or email at info@onegreenworld.com.

All claims will be denied after 10 days of receipt.
