Big Pink Mulberry

A mulberry named for NW Portland’s favorite skyscraper? Perhaps, but more likely named for the big pink fruits on this delicious mulberry. Flavor is similar to a white mulberry but with a little something extra, and the pink fruits look beautiful when dehydrated or added to various dishes. Mulberries are vigorous growers and high producers. Their fruit practically melts in your mouth, making them less shelf stable, which is why we don’t often see them available in grocery stores. These delicious berries will provide you with a wonderful summer snack or the perfect fruit for preserves and jams.
