From the Nikita Botanic Garden in Yalta, Ukraine, Magnum Olive Tree™ has been thriving under evaluation condition in our region over the past few years. The Magnum Olive Tree ™ features very large, delicious fruit, good for preserving and oil production.
Latin Name: Olea europea
Site and Soil: Olives like a warm, protected location with 1/2 day to full sun and well drained soil.
Pollination Requirements: We recommend planting Magnum Olive ™ with another variety as we are not sure about its pollination requirements. Olives are wind pollinated and should be planted no more than 20 ft. apart. You can assist pollination by moving pollen from flower to flower with a small brush.
Hardiness: Magnum should be hardy to 10F. or below.
