Summer Salve Making Workshop

June 15 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Join the Veteran’s Ecological Trades Collective as we explore the many uses of Portland’s native medicinal plants, and make your own salve!

About this Event

This short class shows you how easy it is to make your own skin healing salves at home using herbs from your garden, local parks, or waysides around the city. Together we will discuss a few of the particularly useful and abundant native plants of the Pacific Northwest’s own gorgeous bioregion – and to top it all off by making a wonderful salve for you to take home! This salve is especially useful for all the bumps, bruises, and mosquito bites of the summer.

Please bring writing materials, and plenty of enthusiasm and curiosity!

*This class is offered on a sliding scale with a recommended donation of $15-$35. All proceeds go to supporting the Veteran’s Ecological Trades Collective, a permaculture farm focused on building sustainable agricultural skills for veterans and allies.
