You’ll learn all about how to make different styles of unpasteurized pickles at home.. veggies, fruit, herbs oh my!
This fun and interactive demo, led by food lover and agriculture advocate Lydia Parsley, will teach you all there is to know about preserving the summer’s bounty without the heat & hassle of having to can it.
You’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence of turning all the goodies in your garden into tasty snacks that can be enjoyed not just for one season but for the next seasons to come.
Lydia Parsley has a background in locally-sourced food products, small-scale sustainable agriculture, and seasonal extension, mainly running Eliot Coleman’s farm in Maine, Four Season Farm. She is currently applying her nutritional and culinary expertise to her most recent project, Küchenhaus, a kitchen house 3131 SE 12th Ave 97202 just off Powell, serving farm-to-table plant-based German food. She’s a budding biologist and studying the law to make positive change in food systems, and happily situated in the bountiful PNW for 10 years.
