Join Herbalist and Wilderness EMT Shelby Lynn of VETC Farm for an introductory workshop on herbal first aid.
Explore the amazing healing benefits of an assortment of plants, some of which that can even be found in your very own backyard.
This two-hour class is an exciting way to learn about herbal options for first aid. We will discuss wildcrafted solutions for first line problems ranging from bleeding and infections to hypothermia to panic attacks. In this class, we will introduce topics such as plant identification, wildcrafting, and plant-collecting ethics, herbal first-aid kit ingredients, and give you hands-on experience with techniques such as wound poulticing, sprain management, and heat exhaustion. Learn the top remedies for your first-aid kit, easy-to-find medicinal weeds, and ethics of first responding.
*This class is offered on a sliding scale with a recommended donation of $10-$35. All proceeds go to supporting the Veteran’s Ecological Trades Collective, a permaculture farm focused on building sustainable agricultural skills for veterans and allies.
