Southern Blueberries

These valuable varieties are crosses of the Southern native Rabbiteye with Northern Highbush varieties. They will withstand lower winter temperatures than the Rabbiteye and higher summer heat than the Northern Highbush. Southern Highbush varieties have a lower chilling requirement than Northern Highbush varieties and grow well in California and the deep south as well as in the Pacific Northwest.
